This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible. The screen-out element for this position is:
THE ABILITY TO DO THE WORK OF THE POSITION WITHOUT MORE THAN NORMAL SUPERVISION. Your resume must show that you have the ability to perform common tasks including:
- Assessing traffic conditions and hazards locally and over long distance routes;
- Using safety rules and regulations to operate vehicles such as semi-tractor-trailers, heavy-duty flatbed trucks, heavy fuel tank trucks, heavy straight in-line trucks, heavy-duty tow trucks, heavy vacuum trucks, crane trucks, heavy-duty waste disposal/trash collection trucks and vehicles weighing more than 32,000 pounds;
- Selecting routes based on hazardous conditions and laws restricting use of roads based on size of trucks.
