Job Description

The ideal candidate will not only be a dynamic teacher of Social Studies, but will also be passionate about working with middle school students, collaborating with school and district colleagues, and creating strong ties with the community.

This job description applies to elementary, middle, and high school teachers, unless otherwise identified by a specific teaching assignment in an alternate job description. Additional responsibilities and qualifications may be added for a specific position by the supervisor.

Primary Function

To plan, organize and implement an appropriate instructional program, as designated by the Klamath County School District, in a learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic potential. Physical ability to adhere to OSHA and district safety regulations. Work within the district’s communicable disease control plan (blood borne pathogens) and be aware of the existence and potential exposure to hazardous chemicals as identified on the MSDS sheets.

This position is considered a safety sensitive position.
