Position Overview
Oregon Tech’s College of Health, Arts & Sciences (HAS) within the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences is recruiting a pool of part‑time adjunct instructors for humanities courses (ethics, humanities, literature, philosophy). The position is a faculty appointment as an Adjunct Instructor – Humanities.
Responsibilities- Teach assigned undergraduate courses in humanities.
- Develop syllabi, instructional materials and assessments in accordance with department standards.
- Provide timely feedback and grading to students.
- Participate in faculty meetings and departmental events as required.
- Master’s degree or higher in a humanities discipline or equivalent.
- Prior teaching experience at the postsecondary level.
- Experience using Canvas or a similar Learning Management System (e.g., Blackboard).
- Experience with virtual meeting and collaboration tools (Zoom, Skype, Microsoft Teams).
