Position Summary
The Humanities and Social Sciences Department at Oregon Tech is recruiting adjunct instructors to support general education courses and specific program offerings in Anthropology. Applicants may teach Globalization, Cultural Anthropology, Physical Anthropology and/or Archaeology, with the possibility of additional courses within the department.
Teaching ModalityAppointments may include online, in‑person on‑campus, hybrid, or related lab formats that respond to state and local requirements.
LocationThe primary campus locations include Klamath Falls, Portland‑Metro (Wilsonville, OR), and online. Teaching may be conducted remotely/online within the United States.
Responsibilities- Teach assigned courses in Anthropology, including Globalization, Cultural Anthropology, Physical Anthropology, and/or Archaeology.
- Prepare instructional materials and deliver instruction via the chosen modality (online, in‑person, hybrid, or lab).
- Utilize Canvas or a similar learning management system and virtual meeting tools such as Zoom, Skype, and Microsoft Teams.
- Master’s degree or higher in Anthropology or a related field.
- Experience teaching at the college level.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time, permanent basis; not eligible for visa sponsorship or other employment‑based immigration support.
- Experience using Canvas or a similar learning management system.
- Experience using virtual meeting and collaboration tools for teaching (Zoom, Skype, Microsoft Teams).

In the cover letter please specify the areas or courses you are qualified to offer and would be interested in teaching. Applications are accepted through the Oregon Tech Job Board. The adjunct pool will be accessed only when an opening or need arises.
Credentials remain active for up to two years; after that, applicants must reapply to the current adjunct pool.
