The Humanities and Social Sciences Department is recruiting a pool of adjunct instructors for possible part‑time teaching positions for the minor in Medical Sociology and undergraduate degree in Population Health Management. Specifically, the department seeks adjunct instructors to teach Medical Sociology, Introduction to Population Health Management, Global Population Health, Rural Health, Current Health Issues, Community Program Planning, among others.
Teaching ModalityAppointments may include courses offered online, in person on campus, hybrid, or related clinic or lab, or in an alternative format responsive to state and local requirements.
ResponsibilitiesTeach assigned courses in public health and population health, develop course materials, deliver lectures, facilitate discussions, conduct assessments, and provide timely feedback to students. Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development as needed.
Qualifications• Master’s Degree or higher in Public Health, Healthcare Leadership, Sociology or other related fields.
• Experience teaching at the college level.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time, permanent basis at the time of hire; this position is not eligible for visa sponsorship or other employment‑based immigration support.
- Experience using Canvas or a similar Learning Management System (e.g., Blackboard).
- Experience using virtual meeting and collaboration tools for teaching, such as Zoom, Skype, and Microsoft Teams.
