Position Summary
Oregon Tech invites applications for Sociology and Population Health Adjunct Instructors for the Humanities and Social Sciences Department for the upcoming 2022-23 academic year. This position will support the Medical Sociology minor and Population Health Management program with coursework in Medical Sociology, Global Health, Research Methods, Current Health Issues, Program Planning, and Intro to Sociology. The instructor may be invited to teach additional courses within the department.
The position is in‑person on our Klamath Falls campus.
- Teach assigned undergraduate and/or graduate courses in Medical Sociology, Global Health, Research Methods, Current Health Issues, Program Planning, and Intro to Sociology.
- Prepare lesson plans, course materials, and assessments in accordance with department standards.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to students and maintain accurate records of student progress.
- Participate in departmental meetings and ongoing professional development activities as required.
- Master’s Degree or higher in Sociology, Population Health, or a related discipline.
- Evidence of teaching experience at the college level.
- Experience using Canvas or a similar Learning Management System.
- Experience with virtual meeting and collaboration tools such as Zoom, Skype, and Microsoft Teams.
