Friendship Academy is seeking a caring, energetic, and dependable Early Childhood Teacher to join our team. In this role, you will create a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment where children can grow socially, emotionally, physically, and academically. Teachers work closely with children, families, and fellow staff members to provide high-quality care, implement developmentally appropriate curriculum, and foster a positive classroom community.

Friendship Academy LLC was founded in 2024 with a deep passion for early childhood education. We are committed to providing a nurturing environment where friendships are formed and little minds grow. Currently, we operate one location in Klamath Falls, Oregon, where we proudly provide high-quality childcare and preschool services to approximately 100 families.

At Friendship Academy, we believe children learn best in a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment. Our teachers play a vital role in creating meaningful experiences that help children grow socially, emotionally, physically, and academically.
What You'll DoAs a Teacher, you will:
- Create a warm, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers.
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities and curriculum.
- Support children's social-emotional development and guide behavior in a positive manner.
- Observe children's growth and communicate important information with families and leadership.
- Participate in meals, outdoor play, and daily routines alongside the children.
- Help children develop independence through everyday tasks such as self-care, hygiene, and problem-solving.
- Maintain a safe and healthy learning environment that meets all licensing requirements.
- Communicate professionally with families through conversations, written communication, and our classroom management systems.
- Work collaboratively with fellow teachers and support staff to create a positive team environment.
The ideal candidate:
- Has a genuine passion for working with young children.
- Is patient, nurturing, and dependable.
- Enjoys being active, creative, and engaged throughout the day.
- Works well as part of a team.
- Has strong communication and organizational skills.
- Is committed to providing high-quality care and education.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience working with young children in a preschool, childcare, or educational setting preferred.
- Ability to meet all Oregon Department of Early Learning and Care (DELC) requirements.
- Willingness to complete required professional development and ongoing training.
This position requires the ability to:
- Lift and carry children and classroom materials up to 40 pounds.
- Sit, stand, bend, kneel, and move frequently throughout the day.
- Participate in indoor and outdoor activities in various weather conditions.
- Maintain active supervision of children at all times.
- Supportive and family-oriented work environment.
