The Communication Department at Oregon Tech has recently instituted a focus within the Communication Studies major in Leadership. This focus is designed as a degree completion sequence for students who hold a Community College of the Air Force (CCAF) associate's degree. This Focus on Leadership will serve active duty members of the military and will be delivered at Kingsley Field Air Force base close to our campus in Klamath Falls.
These courses will be taught in a four-week format for ten months of the year.
The College of Health, Arts, and Sciences at Oregon Tech is seeking enthusiastic and well-qualified teachers for adjunct teaching positions to begin Spring term, April 2026 in Klamath Falls campus teaching accelerated four-week courses at an off-site location serving military students at Kingsley Field. We are looking for instructors who could teach one or more of the following courses:
Communication Software, Intercultural Communication, Essentials of Grammar and Punctuation, Interpersonal Communication, Digital Media Production, Intro to Communication, Intro to Leadership, Communication Technology in Use, Gender and Communication, Communication Research, Organizational Communication I and II, Negotiation and Conflict Resolution, Training and Development, Communication and Leadership, Small Group and Team Communication, Writing in the Air Force. Minimum Requirements
Additional Requirements - M.A./M.S. or higher in Communication Studies, Writing, or related discipline appropriate to one or more programmatic courses Experience teaching and/or extensive formal education in Communication or related discipline Skills with technology such as Microsoft Office, email, calendaring, and learning management systems (such as Canvas), and commitment to continuous improvement. Availability to teach four days a week at Kingsley Field Successful candidates will be required to complete a military background check prior to employment.
