Autism Spectrum Disorder Consultant for the School Year
Salary: $53,683.89-$99,647.38 (DOE), prorated based upon FTE. Sped stipend of $2147.36
Generous Health, dental, and vision contribution from the district, currently up to $2277 (based upon family coverage), prorated based upon FTE. The district assumes and pays the 6% average employee contribution to the Oregon PERS system.

Schedule:
190 Days + 3 days new teacher in-service. Start date August 24, 2026.

KFEA Contract
Provide technical assistance in the area of autism spectrum disorders.
Essential Functions:
1.) Participate in multidisciplinary team assessment.
2.) Conduct parent interview and student observations, screening, and assessment as appropriate.
3.) Assist in location and use of appropriate assessment instruments.
4.) Assist team with sharing of assessment results with parents.
5.) Participate in IEP implementation:
A. Assist in location and use of appropriate assessment instruments
B. Conduct assessments as appropriate.
C. Participate in development of goals and objectives.
D. Assist in placement decisions.
E. Provide evaluation and monitoring as appropriate.
F. Assist in program development and implementation to ensure generalization of skills across people, places, events, and time. G. Assist in program development and implementation that provides for transition across programs and service providers.
6.) Act as liaison between school staff, family (care providers), community, and other service agencies.
7.) Assist in development and implementation of programs designed to modify the student's behavior and improve student communication and language ability and improve student performance in regular programs with curriculum modification.
8.) Assist in identification of inservice needs for school personnel, family, and community.
9.) Provide inservice training to school personnel, family, and community.
10.) Assist and participate in review and monitoring of services.
11.) Assist and participate in training to increase knowledge and improve ability to fulfill responsibilities of teacher of students with autism.
Minimum Prerequisites:
1.) TSPC licensure (Oregon Special Education Generalist, School Psychology endorsed license, or related field); or other board licensure (Oregon Health Board of Examiners' Speech Language Pathology license, or related field); or ODE authorization. 2.) Must meet professional competencies required by the Oregon Department of Education. 3.) Successful experience providing comprehensive evaluations and data based interventions to students with autism spectrum disorders.
