Position Summary
Oregon Tech is accepting applications for History undergraduate Adjunct Instructors in the Humanities and Social Sciences Department. The department is recruiting adjunct instructors for part‑time teaching positions to support its General Education courses, with courses such as Intro to History, History of Medicine, History of Energy, Globalization, among others.
Teaching Modality and LocationAppointments may include courses offered online, in‑person on campus, hybrid, or in an alternative format responsive to state and local requirements. The primary campus locations are the Klamath Falls campus, the Portland‑Metro campus (located in Wilsonville, OR), and online. Teaching may be conducted remotely/online within the United States.
Application InstructionsInterested candidates should apply through the Oregon Tech Job Board. Submit a cover letter, curriculum vitae, and a list of three references with contact information (phone & email). In the cover letter, specify the areas or courses you are qualified to offer and would be interested in teaching.

After two years in the pool, if you remain interested you must reapply to the most current adjunct pool.
Requirements- Master’s Degree or higher in History or related field.
- Experience teaching at the college level.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time, permanent basis at the time of hire; this position is not eligible for visa sponsorship or other employment‑based immigration support.
- Experience using Canvas or a similar Learning Management System (e.g., Blackboard).
- Experience using virtual meeting and collaboration tools for teaching, such as Zoom, Skype, and Microsoft Teams.
