Do you love working with children and helping them learn through play, exploration, and meaningful relationships? Friendship Academy is looking for a caring, energetic, and dedicated Early Childhood Teacher to join our team!

As a Teacher, you will:

• Create a warm, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers.
• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities and curriculum.
• Support children’s social-emotional development and guide behavior in a positive manner.
• Observe children’s growth and communicate important information with families and leadership.
• Participate in meals, outdoor play, and daily routines alongside the children.
• Help children develop independence through everyday tasks such as self-care, hygiene, and problem-solving.
• Maintain a safe and healthy learning environment that meets all licensing requirements.
• Communicate professionally with families through conversations, written communication, and our classroom management systems.
• Work collaboratively with fellow teachers and support staff to create a positive team environment.

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred.
• Previous experience working with young children in a preschool, childcare, or educational setting preferred.
• Ability to meet all Oregon Department of Early Learning and Care (DELC) requirements.
• Willingness to complete required professional development and ongoing training.

This position requires the ability to:

• Lift and carry children and classroom materials up to 40 pounds.
• Sit, stand, bend, kneel, and move frequently throughout the day.
• Participate in indoor and outdoor activities in various weather conditions.
• Maintain active supervision of children at all times.
