Position Summary
Oregon Tech is accepting applications for Art and Design undergraduate Adjunct Instructors for the Humanities and Social Sciences Department. The department seeks adjunct instructors to teach courses such as Introduction to Drawing, Watercolors, Design and Aesthetics, Introduction to Graphic Design, Art History, and other courses within the instructor’s field of expertise.
Key ResponsibilitiesTeach part‑time courses in the department’s General Education and minor in Arts, Literature, and Philosophy. Courses may be offered online, in person on campus, hybrid, or in an alternative format responsive to state and local requirements. Teaching locations include the Klamath Falls campus, the Portland‑Metro campus (located in Wilsonville, OR), and online.
Additional Requirements- Master’s Degree or higher in Art, Design, Graphics Design or related field – years of experience may be considered in lieu of a Master’s degree.
- Experience teaching at the college level.
- Experience using Canvas or a similar Learning Management System (e.g., Blackboard).
- Experience using virtual meeting and collaboration tools for teaching, such as Zoom, Skype, and Microsoft Teams.
