Operations Manager
Leidos Engineering is seeking an experienced Project Scheduler & Controller to join our Strategic Project Consulting team within our Power Delivery Solutions division. In this role, you will support a large electric utility client in the Pacific Northwestern US and work in an in‑office position based out of Portland, Bend or Medford, OR, depending on the selected candidate’s location. As the project controller, you will play a key role in driving creative project management solutions for Leidos’ utility client, providing support to the PMO group for project scheduling and controls functions.
The position will focus largely on construction scheduling, work planning, and project tracking, and will also help maintain project forecasts and material tracking where needed.

- Develop, maintain, and drive engineering and construction schedules for various projects for public‑owned and investor‑owned electric utility clients.
- Work with Project Management using earned‑value management techniques to ensure schedules and costs are aligned, including the development of recovery plans to stay within approved limits.
- Partner closely with Project Management, Engineering Leads, Managers, Construction teams, and other client stakeholders to track and execute client deliverables.
- Develop and produce schedule weekly/monthly project control reports for client and internal management review, which includes resource loading analysis and schedules, critical‑path items, and risk analysis.
- Interface directly with the client on a daily basis to report progress, schedule, and risks across a portfolio of electric utility projects.
- Assist the project manager with the creation and maintenance of comprehensive project dashboard reports and KPI tracking.
- Support project teams with material tracking.
- Mid‑Level: 4‑7 years of relevant project scheduling experience.
- Senior‑Level: 7‑10 years of relevant project scheduling experience (pay ranges will be commensurate with candidate experience).
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Finance or a closely related discipline is required.
- Experience with scheduling software such as Primavera P6.
- Capability to plan, organize, direct, and track technical efforts on project tasks.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to interact with customer representatives effectively.
- Excellent organizational and problem‑solving skills and ability to multi‑task effectively.
- Familiarity with electric power infrastructure projects and knowledge of business issues associated with power delivery services.
- Experience working with US electric utilities.
- Demonstrated success with a team approach to the consulting business.
$82,550.00 – $
