Participate in interdisciplinary team process to design harvest units and resolve resource concerns;
Provide on-the-ground leadership for the field layout of timber sale projects - organizes, schedules and executes work assignments; documents work progress; provides advice, assistance, and on-the-job training to lower graded forest technicians and foresters as necessary;
Investigate and initiate reports of unauthorized use or timber trespass including preliminary determination of timber value and other resource damage;
Assist with timber sale layout and unit design to support forest management objectives while ensuring compliance with regulations;
Provide guidance and training to junior forestry staff to build competency and safety on field assignments
