Job Title: IT Systems Administrator

Job Description: Klamath County is seeking a qualified and motivated Systems Administrator to join our Information Technology Department. This position is responsible for maintaining and supporting core IT infrastructure, including installation, repair, and optimization of hardware and software systems. The role involves working closely with county departments to ensure high system performance, resolve technical issues, and support daily operations.
Key Responsibilities- Associate’s degree in computer science or a related field required; bachelor’s preferred.
- 2+ years of enterprise-level Windows systems administration experience (4+ preferred).
- Hands-on experience with virtualization platforms and shared storage systems.
- MCSA certification required.
- Advanced experience with Power Shell scripting strongly preferred.
- Valid Oregon Driver’s License required.
- Strong understanding of Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, IIS, SQL, and SCCM.
- Experience managing Office 365 environments and mobile device solutions.
- Familiarity with network infrastructure (TCP/IP, VPNs, firewalls, SDN).
- Proficiency in system monitoring and performance optimization tools.
- Ability to communicate across organizational levels and work collaboratively.
- Exposure to Mac OS and Apple iOS systems is a plus.
- Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 pounds.
- Regularly required to sit, use hands, talk, and hear.
- Occasionally required to walk, climb, balance, kneel, or crawl.
- Visual abilities required: close vision, color vision, and focus adjustment.

Expected salary: $6,212.63 – $7,862.80 per month
