NURSE PRACTITIONERJob Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive physical assessments and screenings on patients
- Develop and implement treatment plans based on patient needs and medical history
- Order and interpret lab tests, X-rays, and other diagnostic procedures
- Prescribe medication and monitor patient response and side effects
- Educate patients on health promotion, disease prevention, and self-care strategies
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care for patients
- Non Surgical, Clinic Only
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree with Nurse Practitioner specialization or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree specializing in advanced practice nursing.
- Current state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner and certification in the relevant specialty.
- Strong clinical assessment skills to diagnose and treat a variety of medical conditions.
- Patient-Centered Care: A commitment to delivering patient-centered care and a compassionate bedside manner.
- Proficiency in performing clinical procedures, such as wound care, suturing, and minor surgical procedures.
- Competency in prescribing and managing medications, including knowledge of potential side effects and drug interactions.
- Ability to order and interpret diagnostic and laboratory tests, as well as communicate results to patients.
- Skill in providing health education and promoting wellness and prevention.
- Familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems for accurate record-keeping and data management.
- The ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and support staff.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to make informed clinical decisions.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and colleagues.
- Proficiency in handling medical emergencies and providing immediate care in critical situations.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying up to date with the latest medical advances and best practices.
