NURSE PRACTITIONER

Job Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive physical assessments and screenings on patients
  • Develop and implement treatment plans based on patient needs and medical history
  • Order and interpret lab tests, X-rays, and other diagnostic procedures
  • Prescribe medication and monitor patient response and side effects
  • Educate patients on health promotion, disease prevention, and self-care strategies
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care for patients
  • Non Surgical, Clinic Only
Job Qualifications
  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree with Nurse Practitioner specialization or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree specializing in advanced practice nursing.
  • Current state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner and certification in the relevant specialty.
Skills
  • Strong clinical assessment skills to diagnose and treat a variety of medical conditions.
  • Patient-Centered Care: A commitment to delivering patient-centered care and a compassionate bedside manner.
  • Proficiency in performing clinical procedures, such as wound care, suturing, and minor surgical procedures.
  • Competency in prescribing and managing medications, including knowledge of potential side effects and drug interactions.
  • Ability to order and interpret diagnostic and laboratory tests, as well as communicate results to patients.
  • Skill in providing health education and promoting wellness and prevention.
  • Familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems for accurate record-keeping and data management.
  • The ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and support staff.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to make informed clinical decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and colleagues.
  • Proficiency in handling medical emergencies and providing immediate care in critical situations.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying up to date with the latest medical advances and best practices.
