Ability to work effectively as a team member in the delivery of health care services;
Ability to interview, examine, assess, evaluate, and identify health problems for patients; and AHA BLS certification required by the end of the month following 60 days from position start date.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Provides quality care for patients.
- Provides patient care/treatment withinscopeof practice and knowledge base.
- Maintains a courteous and professional demeanor with staff,patient sand family members.
- Participates in evaluations of Level II staff when appropriate.
- Provides follow-up care and discharge instructions for each patient as appropriate fortheir needs.
- Perform orassistwith cardiology-related testing and procedures within the LPN scope of practice and organizational policy
- Obtain 12-lead EKGs and prepare results for provider review.
- Prepare patients for diagnostic testing and procedures.
- Recognize urgent symptoms and elevate concerns according to clinic protocols.
- Coordinate follow-up appointments, testing, referrals, and other patient care needs.
- Communicate with hospital departments, pharmacies, outside facilities, and other healthcare professionals to support continuity of care.
- Assist with obtaining outside medical records, test results, and required documentation.
- Supporttimelycompletion of provider orders and follow-up activities.
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, medical assistants, schedulers, and other members of the healthcare team.
- Accuratelydocumentpatient care, communication, procedures, and interventions in the electronic health record.
- Maintain patient confidentiality andcomply withHIPAA and organizational policies.
- Follow hospital, clinic, regulatory, infection prevention, and patient safety standards.
- Ability to recognize changes in patient condition and appropriately elevate concerns.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Appropriatelyutilizesnursing resources,equipment and supplies.
- Screening,dosingand administration of injections
- Instruction and administration of tests
- Telephone triage of patients
- Telephone counseling of patients under direct supervision of the medical clinician.
- Respond to patient callsin a timely manner.
- Recognition of medical emergency and initiation of alert and treatment system
- Process and prepare the patient for assessment and treatment, by the medical clinician,in a timely manner.
- Schedule appointments for patient procedures and examinations and prioritize referrals.
- Willingness to be flexible and adaptive to different situations with regards to patients, medical clinicians,co-workers,and leadership.
- Demonstrates competency in initiating,maintaining, anddiscontinuingperipheral IVs; administering IV medications and fluids aspermittedby scope of practice.
MARGINAL JOB FUNCTIONS
