We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Truck or Heavy Equipment Lead Mechanic!
Responsibilities- Mentor and train team members in the shop.
- Maintain and repair construction trucks and equipment, including hydraulic repair, brake work, electrical repairs and welding.
- May perform service repairs in the field.
- May have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of units from small fleet vehicles and class 8 trucks/trailers.
- Complete all paperwork that may be necessary.
- Must have own journeyman hand tools, but Bearcat Transportation does provide large tools and has a replacement policy.
- Assure all safety policies and procedures are followed to prevent any and all unsafe actions, processes and behaviors observed.
- Other duties assigned as needed.
Must have the ability to work flexible shifts, including overtime, off shifts and weekends.
Minimum Qualifications- Previous mechanical experience on class 8 trucks and trailers
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Welding and fabrication experience desirable
- Driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to pass a pre‑employment criminal background check, physical/functional exam and drug screen
- Display a professional and courteous attitude towards all team members
