What You'll DoAs our Journeyman Truck Technician / Mechanic you will work on medium and heavy‑duty class 7 & 8 trucks in the shop, ensuring repairs are done accurately and in a timely manner. Your work supports customers by maximizing truck uptime and restoring vehicles quickly. You will analyze and diagnose malfunctions, determine the best repair course, and may work on cabs, steering systems, engines, transmissions, axles, differentials, brakes, clutches, electrical systems, or air systems.
Beyond repairs, you will maintain and service trucks to reduce downtime and extend life, demonstrating mechanical skill, sound judgment, attention to detail, and adherence to safety and quality standards.
You will work Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.
What You Need- 3+ years of experience on medium and heavy‑duty class 7/8 trucks, including engine repair, electronic troubleshooting, HVAC systems, and chassis repair.
- Kenworth Essentials certifications preferred.
- Basic computer knowledge; experience with Cummins and MX software preferred.
- Self‑motivation and assertiveness.
- Ability to work with little or no supervision.
- Excellent communication and customer‑relations skills.
- Must provide own tools.
$35.35 – 39.90 / hr (depending on experience)
