Job Description

Rate of Pay: $22.68 per hour

Schedule: Follows the Board Approved Calendar

Insurance: Generous health, dental, and vision contribution from the district.

Responsibilities
  • Support the unique educational and culturally related academic needs of at‑risk students (Title VI, Title IX, Title III) to meet state standards.
  • Connect with families of at‑risk students to address and support culturally related academic needs.
  • Assist families in understanding available supports and services for all qualified students.
  • Advocate and promote student accomplishments to boost confidence and self‑esteem.
  • Increase the success rates of at‑risk students across elementary grade levels.
  • Collaborate with building leadership, EBIS/MTSS teams, and classroom teachers to facilitate services and support.
  • Maintain professional relationships with students, families, co‑workers, and community partners.
  • Compile and correct information, verify data for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with procedures.
  • Prepare and maintain records, logs, and files of confidential nature while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Considered highly qualified by the Oregon Department of Education (associate’s degree or pass paraprofessional skills testing).
  • Experience working with children and families.
  • Good human relation skills and effective communication with others.
  • Ability to multitask and be flexible to meet varying needs.
  • Superb organizational skills in collecting and organizing data.
  • Proficient with electronic communication, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Calendar, and general office equipment.
  • Willingness to learn a wide variety of tasks.
  • Professional appearance and grooming in a neat, clean, and appropriate manner for the assignment and work setting.
