Test Technician - Knightdale, NC

PCX Corporation is looking for an experienced Electrical/Mechanical Testing Technician to become a part of our rapidly growing company serving the Data Center, Commercial Construction, and Renewable Energy markets. This position will be based in Knightdale, North Carolina. Our product offerings include Modular Data Centers, Power Equipment Centers, Custom Integrated Switchboards, and pre-manufactured indoor/outdoor electrical distribution centers.

As Electrical Testing Technician, you will be responsible for validating the function and performance for our Engineered Electrical Solutions. You will have experience in Electrical Systems, Switchgear operation/testing and validation, Electrical Schematics, PLC Ladder Logic, and Instrument Diagrams. You will troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems following Lockout/Tagout procedures, inspect Electromechanical Equipment for flaws, and use PCX Non-conformance program to document and correct flaws.

Potential interface with customers, associates, and suppliers requires excellent communication skills.

• 3-5 years work experience in an Electrical/Mechanical Systems environment or 1-2 years experience & 2-year electrical degree
• Minimum 6 months experience with electrical testing and troubleshooting busbar assemblies and transformers
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical blueprints and specifications
• Experience in integration of electrical and mechanical systems for custom applications
• Good working knowledge of NEC, UL, and ETL for low voltage applications
• Strong interpersonal skills for developing and functioning in a team environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• MS Office Software (Word, Excel, etc.)
