Job Summary

The Specialties Warehouse Associate is crucial for maintaining the flow of the warehouse, ensuring that products are handled efficiently, safely, and accurately. They are responsible for maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment, managing inventory, and preparing products for installation. This position requires attention to detail, adherence to safety procedures, and the ability to perform heavy lifting on a regular basis.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Load and unload delivery trucks, moving the product by hand or with forklifts.
  • Organize stock within the warehouse and ensure areas are kept neat and tidy, including securing glass properly to prevent damage.
  • Conduct inventory checks and assist in managing inventory levels to ensure ready availability of products.
  • Adhere to all warehousing, handling, and shipping legislation requirements.
  • Assist in the preparation of orders for installation, staging goods in a time-efficient manner.
  • Maintain safety standards by following policies and procedures and wearing protective equipment as required.
  • Collaborate with the operations team to meet and exceed business goals.
  • Respect and uphold standards of confidentiality and professionalism within the workspace.
  • Regular and reliable attendance.
  • Work effectively in a team environment.

Requirements Education, Experience & Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience working in a warehouse environment, particularly with heavy items such as glass.
  • Forklift certification is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of warehouse procedures and safety measures.
Physical Demands
  • Must be able to lift heavy objects up to 70 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Capable of standing and walking for extended periods.
  • Good manual dexterity required for handling, packing, and securing glass materials.
  • Must be comfortable working in a physically demanding environment.
Work Environment
  • Primarily in the warehouse with exposure to elements such as dust and noise.
  • Required to wear safety gear and adhere to all safety protocols related to warehouse activities.
