- Drives successful delivery of complex engineering projects by aligning multi-disciplinary teams around clear scope, timelines, budgets, and business priorities.
- Improves execution quality by identifying business and technical risks early, resolving cross-functional issues quickly, and keeping stakeholders informed on project status and results.
- Strengthens financial performance by managing project estimates, capital requests, purchasing, and cost tracking to help projects stay within approved budget guidelines.
- Protects 3M’s long-term interests by supporting intellectual property development, maintaining strong documentation practices, and ensuring projects follow safety, environmental, and engineering standards.
- Expands team capability and organizational effectiveness by building strong business relationships, mentoring engineers and new hires, and contributing leadership across engineering and manufacturing initiatives.
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Minimum of three (3) years of facilities experience
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Demonstrated record of project successes
- Senior-level proficiency in handling more difficult assignments
- Ability to provide input on work procedures and guide the work of others
- Demonstrated leadership skills across areas of responsibility
- Ability to work safely in plant environments, including dirty and/or hazardous situations, using protective clothing and equipment as needed

This role follows an on-site working model, requiring the employee to work at Knoxville. - Travel:

Compensation and Benefits OverviewThe expected compensation range for this position is USD 124,127 - USD 151,710, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience. In addition, this position may be eligible for a range of benefits such as Medical, Dental & Vision, Health Savings Accounts, Health Care & Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, Disability Benefits, Life Insurance, Voluntary Benefits, Paid Absences, and Retirement Benefits.
