Our client, an industry-leading appliance manufacturer, is looking for a Product Development Engineer in the Johnson City-Kingsport-Bristol area. (East Tennessee - relocation assistance available)

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee product development projects from start to finish, managing timelines, resources, and budgets.
• Ensure designs meet all regulatory, quality, safety, and performance standards, including energy efficiency and environmental compliance.
• Prepare budgets, control expenditures, and provide management updates.
• Lead a cross-functional engineering team through the project lifecycle.
• Develop and maintain documentation to ensure standards are met.
• Plan and manage product testing, including durability, performance, and safety.
• Address technical issues, implement design changes, and ensure milestones are met.
• Support the production process with design input and resolve manufacturing challenges.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in product design engineering (appliances, HVAC, or similar products preferred)
• Project management or leadership experience.
• Proficiency in CAE software (Solid Works, AutoCAD, etc.).
• Experience with combustion, CFD, thermal systems, fluid dynamics, and electrical systems a plus.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards (e.g., UL, CSA, ASME) preferred.
