As a Capital Project Engineer you will:
- Lead the planning and execution of assigned capital projects by managing front‑end loading (FEL) studies, project schedules, budgets, construction activities, and resources to ensure successful project delivery.
- Develop and implement competitive bidding strategies, including bid evaluation and contractor selection, to ensure cost‑effective and high‑quality project results.
- Define equipment performance requirements and engineering design criteria to support safe, reliable, and efficient operations.
- Establish and maintain robust schedule and cost control processes, including forecasting, progress tracking, variance analysis, and implementation of corrective actions.
- Foster strong communication and collaboration with project teams, site leadership, contractors, and stakeholders throughout all phases of project execution.
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, guidelines, and company requirements so that all designs and project activities meet regulatory, safety, and operational expectations.
Minimum qualifications:
- Associate’s Degree or Technical Diploma in an engineering or science discipline (verified prior to start) + five years of experience in engineering, manufacturing, and/or project management in a private, public, government or military environment.
- OR Bachelor’s degree or higher in an engineering or science discipline (verified prior to start) + three years of experience in the same areas.
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed:
- Minimum three years of experience in chemical manufacturing, industrial operations, or other process‑based industries.
- Prior experience with coating, drying and curing, compounding and mixing, material handling, slitting, automation, and packaging systems.
- Demonstrated success leading complex, cross‑functional capital projects from concept through final implementation.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
- Familiarity with engineering design and project management tools such as AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, SAP, Solid Works, NX or similar systems.

Compensation and benefitsExpected compensation range: $124,127 - $151,710 (base pay plus variable incentive pay if eligible). The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience.
