Accura Health Care of Knoxville invites a Quality Assurance and Infection Preventionist Nurse (RN) to join our team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the highest quality of care and promoting the well‑being of our residents and staff.

The Quality Assurance and Infection Preventionist Nurse applies knowledge and experience by offering guidance pertaining to infection control, skin assessments, safety and resident rights, training, education, and related functions. The role assists with the development, implementation, and modification of policies and procedures, conducts system reviews, audits, and data collection, and creates reports to ensure compliance with federal and state laws and regulations.
The nurse leads and participates in the QAPI (Quality Assurance Process Improvement) program, taking a proactive approach to quality care and services through engagement of residents, family members, and staff. The position reviews unresolved issues and concerns, identifies areas that remain out of compliance, and develops corrective time frames.
- Must hold a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state, without restrictions, and/or be able to obtain the state‑specific license.
- Infection Preventionist Certification; if not currently obtained, must be obtained within the first six months of employment.
