Infection Prevention RN – PT

Accountable for reducing the risk of the individuals within the hospital being exposed to infections.

• Establish and analyze infection control patient safety.
• Develop an operative system for documenting, recording illnesses and/or injuries, and educating physicians, employees, and the community on infection prevention control.
• Facilitate a facility-wide control plan.
• Participate in antimicrobial stewardship.
• Other duties as assigned by department leader.

• Current license as a Registered Nurse in Iowa.
• Current BLS with ACLS and PALS within one year.
• Mandatory reporter training.
• One year infection control experience is preferred.
• Required to complete all annual competency training and maintain license and/or certification.
