Tax Manager — Public Accounting

We are seeking an experienced Tax Manager to lead tax compliance, planning, and advisory services for a diverse client base. This role involves managing complex tax engagements, reviewing staff work, mentoring team members, and serving as a primary point of contact for clients. The ideal candidate is technically strong, client-focused, and comfortable balancing leadership responsibilities with hands-on tax work.

• Review complex federal and state tax returns for individuals, partnerships, S-corps, C-corps, and trusts
• Provide tax planning and advisory services to clients
• Research tax issues and ensure compliance with current regulations
• Manage client relationships and respond to tax authority notices
• Review and mentor staff accountants and seniors
• Support workflow management and process improvements

• CPA required
• 5+ years of progressive public accounting tax experience
• Strong knowledge of federal and multi-state tax compliance
• Experience reviewing complex returns and working directly with clients
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
• Experience with small-to-mid-sized businesses and high-net-worth clients preferred
