Responsibilities:
- Oversee routine bookkeeping activities for several company entities as well as a group of client accounts, ensuring transactions are recorded accurately and on schedule.
- Manage incoming invoices and outgoing payments, while also tracking customer billing and receipts to maintain healthy accounts payable and receivable processes.
- Reconcile bank activity by reviewing statements, researching discrepancies, and confirming balances are aligned with internal records.
- Administer company credit card activity, including payment processing, monthly statement review, and reconciliation of card transactions.
- Assist with the preparation of recurring tax documentation and help organize information needed for monthly and quarterly filings.
- Record adjusting journal entries and maintain clean, reliable general ledger data to support accurate financial reporting.
- Update and monitor real estate-related financial details in Excel spreadsheets and maintain supporting documentation for reference.
- Prepare checks, coordinate deposits, and assist with daily cash handling tasks, including processing mailed payments and correspondence. Requirements - At least 3 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably involving support for multiple businesses, entities, or client accounts.
- Hands-on background in accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and journal entry preparation.
- Strong proficiency with Quick Books Desktop and working knowledge of Quick Books Online.
- Solid Microsoft Excel skills, including the ability to organize, track, and maintain financial data.
- Ability to manage competing priorities independently in an on-site work environment.
- High level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail in handling financial records and transactions.
