Payroll Professional

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a Payroll Professional to join our corporate team supporting federal initiatives! This position is temporary and will be based out of Knoxville, TN. This role is anticipated to be short-term (3-4 months) with the possibility of extension. There is flexibility on the hours (Part-Time or Full-Time), but the candidate MUST be able to work on Tuesdays.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly payroll for GEM Technologies, Inc. and Atlanta Home Theater using Paylocity.

• Prepare and import payroll journal entries for both companies into GEM’s accounting system, Sage Intacct.

• Prepare and submit weekly certified payroll reports via email and client’s certified payroll system, LCP Tracker.

• Prepare and submit monthly union reports.

• Prepare and file monthly Gross Receipts Tax returns for New Mexico.

• Prepare and file monthly Sales & Use Tax returns for Tennessee and Georgia.

• Review W-2s for 401k and HSA limits.

Requirements

• Education & Years of Experience – Bachelor's Degree and 2+ years of relevant experience or relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

• Prior experience processing weekly payroll.

• Experience preparing and importing payroll journal entries into payroll systems, SAGE Intacct experience a plus.

• Experience preparing and submitting monthly union reports.

• _Experience preparing and filing monthly Gross Receipts Tax returns, Sales and Use Tax returns._

Desired Skills

• Experience with Paylocity payroll software.

• Experience with Sage Intacct accounting system.
