Accounting Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead the month-end and year-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Manage and mentor the staff accountant and other accounting personnel
• Prepare and review financial statements, variance analyses, and management reports
• Oversee general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory accounting, and fixed assets
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and regulatory requirements including sales tax compliance
• Coordinate with external auditors for financial audits and tax compliance
• Develop and improve internal controls and accounting procedures
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost accounting activities
• Manage Net Suite ERP accounting functions and recommend process improvements
• Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, supply chain, and R&D teams

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience
• At least 3 years in a supervisory role
• Strong understanding of cost accounting and manufacturing processes
• Experience with Net Suite ERP highly preferred
• Proficient in Excel and financial reporting tools, including AI integrations
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Proven ability to manage, develop, and motivate an accounting team
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
• High standards of confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive financial and employee data

Demonstrates expertise in financial statement preparation, compliance with GAAP, and management of accounting functions, including budgeting and forecasting. Proven leadership in mentoring accounting teams and improving internal controls within a fast-paced environment.
