Bookkeeper Position

We are looking for a detail-oriented bookkeeper to support a service-based organization in Knoxville, TN. This contract position has potential to go contract to permanent, and is a strong fit for an accounting specialist who can keep financial records accurate, assist with payroll activities, and contribute to monthly and annual closing tasks. The role offers the opportunity to make an immediate impact by maintaining organized bookkeeping processes and supporting daily accounting operations.

Responsibilities:

• Manage incoming invoices and customer billing activities while keeping payable and receivable records current and accurate.
• Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements regularly to identify discrepancies and maintain reliable financial data.
• Organize and update vendor files, including required tax forms and supporting compliance documentation.
• Process payroll for a workforce of up to 50 employees with attention to accuracy and timeliness.
• Contribute to month-end and year-end accounting close activities by preparing records and supporting documentation.
• Maintain orderly financial records and ensure bookkeeping information is complete, accurate, and easy to access.
• Provide day-to-day accounting and administrative support as needed to help sustain efficient finance operations.
