Childcare worker provides a safe and loving environment and supervision for children of various ages during Bible Studies, services and various events. Childcare workers are a vital part of providing support to various ministries as FB Concord is inspiring people to follow Jesus.
Qualities + Qualifications- Uphold Biblical priorities through a growing personal relationship with Jesus.
- Become an active member of FB Concord or be an active member of a local like-minded bible teaching church
- Develop personal evangelism opportunities within & outside the church & school
- Encompass the qualities and characteristics of Concord staff members as outlined in our Staff Values and Statement of Faith
- Minimum age of 14
- Assist with set-up, tear-down and clean-up of childcare spaces
- Create and maintain a safe, welcoming and engaging class for all ages
- Maintain classroom control through supervision and engaging activities
- Follow schedules as provided by Kids ministry team
- Understand, comply and abide by Concord’s Next Gen Safety System, FBC Employee manuals and emergency procedures
- Notify Kid Ministry team of any concerns related to children in class
- Ensure constant supervision of class with safety & developmental needs as a priority
- Ensure that clean toys, activities, & expectations are developmentally appropriate
- Duties will vary based on the age of the classroom
- Fulfill other duties as assigned by the Director of Preschool
Typically, a few hours a week in a classroom. Work includes but is not limited to walking, standing, walking up and down stairs, squatting, bending, carrying items up to 45lbs, getting up and down off the floor. Time will be spent both indoors and outdoors, in both quiet and chaotic spaces.
