Commercial Roofing Superintendent

Rackley Roofing Company, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and experienced Commercial Roofing Superintendent to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all aspects of commercial roofing projects, ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency from start to finish. As a key leader on our job sites, you will work closely with business owners, general contractors, and field personnel to deliver projects on time and within budget.

• Manage and supervise all field roofing personnel and oversee daily roofing operations.
• Ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with company standards and client expectations.
• Control and monitor job costs related to roofing operations to maximize company profitability.
• Coordinate project mobilization, logistics, and demobilization, including site setup and closeout.
• Attend project preconstruction meetings to become familiar with project requirements and expectations.
• Implement and enforce site mobilization plans, including storage areas, delivery routes, material distribution, and safety protocols.
• Conduct site inspections to document and report existing conditions and ensure compliance with project specifications.
• Oversee material storage and protection, ensuring all materials meet construction documentation and are stored in proper environmental conditions.
• Inspect substrates and ensure all installation work meets specifications, shop drawings, and manufacturer instructions.
• Monitor installation quality, including adhesives, fasteners, lapping, jointing, and material thickness.
• Ensure all safety equipment is properly installed and maintained, especially in adverse weather conditions.
• Maintain daily housekeeping and site cleanliness standards.
• Prepare and submit detailed daily reports within 24 hours, including weather, crew size, work completed, site visitors, deliveries, and quality control photos.
• Communicate any deficiencies to the Foreman, Project Manager, and Manager of Operations.
• Uphold all company policies and procedures and represent Rackley Roofing Company, Inc. in a professional manner at all times.

• Proven experience in commercial roofing supervision or a similar construction leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of commercial roofing systems, installation techniques, and safety standards.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents, plans, and manufacturer instructions.
• Proficient in documenting project progress and reporting on jobsite conditions.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including standing for extended periods, climbing, lifting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling as required by the job.
