A well-established mechanical contractor with a strong reputation for delivering commercial, institutional, and industrial construction projects is seeking a Mechanical Superintendent to support projects throughout the Middle Tennessee region
.

This role is responsible for overseeing HVAC and plumbing installation and renovation projects, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and within budget. The Mechanical Superintendent serves as the primary field representative for assigned projects and plays a critical role in coordinating subcontractors, managing schedules, maintaining quality standards, and building strong client relationships.

The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader with strong field experience, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering successful project outcomes.

This position is based in the Middle Tennessee area and reports directly to a Project Manager.

The Mechanical Superintendent is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day execution of mechanical construction projects, including HVAC and plumbing systems. This role ensures projects are completed according to plans, specifications, safety requirements, and client expectations while maintaining profitability and schedule performance.

Acting as the primary point of contact on-site, the Superintendent works closely with project management, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to ensure successful project delivery.

• Serve as the primary company representative for assigned projects.
• Schedule, coordinate, and supervise project activities, labor, and material deliveries.
• Maintain project schedules and ensure milestones are achieved.
• Ensure daily reports, safety documentation, and project records are completed accurately and submitted on time.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders.
• Attend project meetings and maintain thorough project documentation.
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with project drawings, specifications, and applicable codes.
• Coordinate and manage subcontractors to ensure contracted scopes of work are completed successfully.
• Monitor jobsite productivity, quality, safety, and overall project performance.
• Identify and resolve field issues to minimize project delays and cost impacts.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years of construction industry experience with a proven track record managing multiple active projects and job sites.
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, specifications, and schematics.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and experience making decisions in fast-paced environments.
• OSHA 10-Hour Certification.

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field.
• 8+ years of construction experience, including 2-3 years in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
• Knowledge of HVAC and plumbing systems, installation methods, and mechanical construction practices.
• Experience with Procore or similar project management software.
• OSHA 30-Hour Certification.
