The Parking Booth Attendant is responsible for providing outstanding customer service while managing vehicle entry and exit, issuing parking tickets, processing payments, and assisting guests. This position helps maintain a safe, organized, and efficient parking operation while creating a positive experience for every customer.
Primary ObjectiveProvide exceptional service by accurately processing parking transactions, assisting guests, maintaining accurate records, and supporting the safe and efficient operation of the parking facility.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Issue parking tickets and process cash, credit card, and electronic payments accurately.
- Operate parking equipment and point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- Answer guest questions regarding parking rates, policies, and directions.
- Monitor vehicle entry and exit to maintain efficient traffic flow.
- Balance cash drawer and complete daily transaction and revenue reports.
- Report equipment issues, safety hazards, accidents, or suspicious activity.
- Keep the booth and work area clean, organized, and well‑stocked.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management.
- Follow company policies, attendance standards, and safety procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Customer service or cashier experience preferred.
- Basic computer and cash‑handling skills.
- Strong communication, attention to detail, and problem‑solving abilities.
- Valid driver's license may be required depending on the location.
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
- Occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED);
Customer service experience preferred; customer service attitude and a willing, helpful demeanor is mandatory.
A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required for this role, along with maintaining an acceptable motor vehicle record with no more than three moving violations within a three‑year period. Candidates must also pass and maintain a clean background check. No special certifications are necessary for this position.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:This role requires stamina to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs. for extended periods, often in varied weather conditions. Team members must maintain a professional appearance and adhere to uniform and grooming standards. Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays is essential to support guest needs and hotel operations.
Work takes place in both indoor and outdoor environments, including on‑site parking facilities and corporate settings. Team members regularly collaborate with colleagues, vendors, and clients, use computers, communicate by phone, and operate in environments that may be noisy and include moving vehicles and exposure to the elements.
