Customer Service Representative

The Customer Service Representative serves as the primary day-to-day point of contact for customers in a wholesale business-to-business environment. This role supports customers by assisting with order placement, product information, pricing, delivery schedules, and account inquiries while also providing operational support to Outside Sales Representatives.

Success in this role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and a customer-focused mindset committed to delivering exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist customers with questions related to product lines, pricing, credit terms, inventory levels, and delivery schedules.

Check inventory records to confirm product availability and coordinate procurement or inter-branch transfers when necessary.

Enter, manage, and track customer orders while documenting customer interactions and follow-up activities.

Resolve customer service concerns, billing issues, and process returns, exchanges, and refunds as needed.

Upsell products and recommend related items to enhance customer purchases and support sales growth.

Maintain accurate records of customer transactions, communications, and account activity.

Send product samples, catalogs, and sales literature to support customer engagement and sales initiatives.

Provide support to Outside Sales Representatives and collaborate with internal departments to ensure timely and accurate customer service.

Maintain strong customer relationships through responsive communication and professional support.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent certification required.

College coursework or equivalent training and experience preferred.

Previous sales and/or customer service experience preferred.

General knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel required.
