Overview

Learning Specialist, DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine (DCOM) – Knoxville Campus, Lincoln Memorial University.

Position Summary

The Learning Specialist at Lincoln Memorial University’s DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine (DCOM) provides individualized academic skill development and learning support to medical students to promote success on written licensing examinations prior to graduation. This position also collaborates with the DCOM Success Team to monitor first-time pass rates and evaluate student outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized academic coaching and learning strategy support
  • Assist students in developing effective study, test-taking, and time-management skills
  • Support student preparation for written licensing examinations
  • Monitor and analyze student progress and first-time pass rates
  • Collaborate with the DCOM Success Team and faculty
  • Maintain appropriate documentation and student support records
  • Participate in student success initiatives and institutional committees as assigned
Required Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Education or a related field
  • Experience in higher education
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience as a learning specialist or in an equivalent role
  • Experience in health professions education
  • State license or professional certification in a related field
