Program Details
The Free State of Tennessee Certified Nurse Aide Training Class is a fast‑paced 19‑day program beginning at 8 a.m. and ending at 3:30 p.m. Each session is designed to prepare participants for the state certification exam.
Requirements- Valid photo identification
- Social Security card
A criminal background check and consultation of the Tennessee and National Abuse Registry for Children and Adults will be conducted. Candidates with felony convictions, certain misdemeanor charges, or records on the registry will not be admitted.
Attendance & PerformanceNo absences or tardiness are permitted during the 19‑day course. Participants must maintain a grade average of at least 85% to continue in the program.
MaterialsBooks and supplies ($50) serve as a deposit on the first day of class and will be returned upon graduation.
Enrollment ProcessApplicants are screened during a scheduled interview. Selection is based on facility need, shift availability, entrance exam score, flexibility, prior experience, and attitude. Placement is not based on application order.
