Ameri Corps After school Positions

BENEFITS:

• Get paid up to $10,125 (called a living allowance - LA) and serve approx. 20 hours after school each week.
• Receive training through Emerald Youth University and participate in fun, team-building activities.
• Earn a scholarship of up to $1,956 (called an education award - EA) to pay tuition or student loans.
• Add valuable service experience to your resume.

POSITIONS:

Three kinds of Ameri Corps positions are available after school with Emerald Youth this upcoming school year. Ideal availability is between the hours of 2:00 and 6:00 p.m., Monday – Friday:

• General After school Role
  - Lead varying structured learning and enrichment activities after school with elementary and/or middle school students. (20 hours/week, LA = $10,125, EA = $1,956; or, 15 hours/week, LA = $6,750, EA = $1,565)
• Learning Role
  - Perfect for aspiring teachers and/or to fulfill a teaching practicum. Facilitate components of and implement incentives for elementary and middle school students as part of the on-site after school computer learning lab. (20 hours/week, LA = $10,125, EA = $1,956)
• Rec Sports Role
  - Perfect for those interested in sports, health, and fitness. Plan and implement structured health and recreational activities for both elementary and middle school students as part of the after school program. (15 hours/week, LA = $4,500, EA = $1,565)

IMPORTANT NOTE:

Due to the timing of Ameri Corps funding for the 26/27 project year, candidates selected and available to start on time (early August) for these positions would begin as hourly paid ($14/hour) employees and then change over formally to the title of Ameri Corps and begin receiving all applicable benefits mentioned above around August 17th once Ameri Corps funding is officially awarded.

The hourly rate will cease once the change from employee to Ameri Corps happens.
