Construction Field Engineer

Boston Government Services, LLC. (BGS) is seeking a Construction Field Engineer to support our clients in Oak Ridge, TN.

The client is developing a large-scale nuclear facility and is seeking a Construction Field Engineer to support on-site construction activities. This role will work closely with engineering, construction, and quality teams to ensure field execution aligns with approved designs, schedules, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

• Support day-to-day field construction activities and serve as a technical resource on site.
• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and work packages to support construction execution.
• Coordinate with construction supervisors, subcontractors, and engineering teams to resolve field issues.
• Assist with constructability reviews, field changes, and requests for information.
• Verify work is performed in accordance with approved drawings, procedures, and quality standards.
• Support field inspections, walkdowns, and documentation of completed work.
• Track construction progress and assist with schedule updates and reporting.
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with site safety requirements.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical discipline.
• 10+ years of relevant experience supporting construction activities on large-scale industrial, energy, or infrastructure projects.
• Demonstrated experience working in a field-based engineering or construction support role.
• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
• Experience coordinating with construction teams, subcontractors, and engineering organizations.
• Familiarity with construction quality requirements, safety standards, and work control processes.
• Experience working in highly regulated environments preferred.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently in a dynamic construction environment.
• Willingness and ability to meet site access, background, and training requirements.
• Must be U.S. citizen.
• Ability to pass a background check.

• Onsite position in Oak Ridge, TN.
• Schedule is full-time, Monday – Friday, 40-hour work week.
