Clean Harbors is seeking a Traveling Field Inspector
.
The Field Inspector will assist the project manager and supervisor on soil remediation projects at customer sites. Travel of 95-100% is required, with up to 6 weeks in the field at a time. Preferred locations are Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi, Florida, and Georgia; other locations may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Pay and Benefits- $25 per hour, with overtime and per diem available.

- Ensure Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes.
- Accurately document site activities including cost tracking, worksheets, waste shipping logs, manifest management, health and safety records, and meeting minutes via laptop or mobile device.
- Work in the field with hands‑on labor alongside crew, Project Manager, and Field Service Supervisor.
- Travel to various project locations such as wastewater treatment plants, soil remediation sites, and more.
- Read and understand project documents and contracts.
- Gain 40‑hour Hazwoper, OSHA 10, and potentially additional certifications through the company.
- Learn to calibrate air monitoring meters and associated Health & Safety equipment.
- Assist in project financial tracking and administrative functions, including generating required reports.
- Order and receive supplies for projects.
- Possibly operate some heavy equipment.
- Perform other duties as required.
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental science or engineering is required.
- Safety‑oriented with a commitment to safety.
- Willingness to perform manual labor.
- Willingness to work outside in all kinds of weather, using prescribed Personal Protective Equipment.
- Valid driver’s license and clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) required.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and professional written and oral communication skills.
- Civil Engineering, construction, or survey experience is a plus.
