This position is ideal for an experienced roadway engineer who enjoys hands‑on design work, technical leadership, and collaboration with public agency clients.
You'll work alongside a highly respected team supporting TDOT and municipal clients, delivering projects from planning and design development through final PS&E and construction support.

Low-impact bridge replacement and roadway tie-ins.
Develop construction bid-ready plan sets and contract documents, including plans, profiles, cross sections, details, and quantities.
Prepare roadway design reports, functional design reports, and technical memorandums in accordance with TDOT and municipal standards.
Develop engineer's construction cost estimates and assist with the preparation of technical specifications and special provisions.
Utilize Open Roads Designer and Micro Station, including corridor modeling, to produce efficient, high-quality model-based roadway designs.
Coordinate closely with TDOT, municipalities, and other project stakeholders to support design reviews, incorporate agency comments, and advance projects through approval.
Collaborate with internal disciplines such as traffic, drainage, structures, right-of-way, and utilities to ensure coordinated and constructible designs.
Provide construction-phase support, including responses to RFIs and design clarifications as needed.
Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and training to junior staff, including reviewing work products for quality, accuracy, and adherence to standards.
Contribute to a positive team environment while helping uphold consistent technical standards across projects.
