We are currently searching for an experienced Roadway EIT to support our Gulf Region located in Brentwood/Nashville, Knoxville, or Chattanooga, TN
. Candidates must be willing to relocate to Tennessee if out of state.
- Collect and analyze data for inclusion in project plans and reports.
- Assist and prepare project plans using Open Roads Designer.
- Contribute to the preparation and/or modification of engineering reports and calculations for a wide variety of projects.
- Prepare and assist in the preparation of project construction quantities and cost estimates.
- Prepare and assist in the preparation of project specifications.
- Review project quantity estimates, details, and check calculations and drawings for compliance with project requirements.
- Prepare and assist in the preparation of project schedules.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- BS in Civil Engineering.
- EIT (E.I) Certification is desired but not required.
- 2–4 years of experience.
- Experience with Open Roads Designer is preferred.
- Ability to pass a pre‑employment drug screening to ensure a safe and productive work environment. Volkert adheres to federal guidelines, which may include testing for substances such as marijuana. Please note that federal regulations may differ from state‑specific guidelines.
- Valid driver’s license.
- A satisfactory motor vehicle report (MVR).
