Job Summary
Mesa Associates, Inc. is seeking a P&C Engineering Associate II for a Power Delivery Substation role. The position requires 2 to 4 years of design experience and the ability to produce protection & control design drawings for HV/MV substations.
Responsibilities- Read, understand and help produce Protection & Control design drawings, including Single Line, AC/DC Schematic, Elementary and Connection diagrams, Front & Rear View Layout/Elevation drawings, Bills of Material, etc.
- Create connection diagrams based on AC/DC schematics.
- Use AutoCAD or Microstation to generate detailed design drawings.
- Investigate and resolve design issues independently before seeking assistance.
- Conduct self-checks of all design work prior to submission to the checker.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel and Word for documentation and reporting.
- 2 to 4 years of design experience in P&C engineering.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD or Microstation.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Attention to detail and strong self‑check skills.
- Experience with HV/MV substation design is a plus.
