Job Summary
Provide technical leadership as part of a unique team of traffic engineers deploying traffic control systems worldwide. Apply traffic operational knowledge, systems engineering processes, and skills to systematically deploy traffic control systems in the United States and beyond, ensuring budgets, schedules, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Design, plan, and execute installation of traffic control systems including ATMS and ASCT.
- Perform traffic operational analyses and implement plans to improve traffic operations.
- Provide technical oversight on projects and develop/manage system requirements.
- Lead project team to define and document system architecture and design.
- Influence hardware/software designs, perform integration planning, and oversee tests.
- Interface with internal and external stakeholders, including engineering, program management, quality, finance, business development, services, sub-contractors, end users, and customers.
- Provide pre-sales technical support and product training to customers.
- Support engineering activities for proposal efforts.
- Monitor, mentor, and train less experienced systems engineers.
- Four‑year degree in Civil Engineering (Traffic Emphasis), Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline plus five years of related experience; or a master’s degree with three years of experience preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in traffic operations analysis (field experience strongly preferred over simulation).
- Experience designing, analyzing, and installing traffic control systems;
Synchro Studio experience a plus. - Working knowledge of traffic control devices (controllers, cabinets, etc.) desired.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
- Proficiency with PC software such as spreadsheets, word processing, and requirement‑management database tools.
- Strong engineering problem‑solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work under project deadlines and cost/schedule constraints.
Base pay range: $ – $ + benefits. Pay varies with geographic market and other factors.
