* Job Description:

** Mueller’s manufacturing commitment ensures one of the world’s most precious resources, clean drinking water, reaches millions of people daily.  Come be a part of something that sustains and enriches the lives of every human being.  As an
** EHS Specialist**, you will provide technical expertise and support in the development and implementation of the overall EHS Management System (EHSMS) for our facilities. This will require partnering closely with location management, line supervision, and individual employees ensuring they understand their roles and responsibilities within the EHSMS.

* Primary Responsibilities:

*** Develop, implement, and continuously improve all environmental and sustainability elements within the EHSMS:  + Develop, update, administer and monitor all EHS programs, procedures, policies, and standards in a manner that ensures compliance to Federal, State, and Local regulations and align with Corporate EHS requirements.  + Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all environmental reports (Air Emission Summary, TRI, Tier II, SWPPP, deviation reports, and waste disposal both hazardous and non-hazardous, etc).  

+ Develop and implement job safety and environmental analysis (JSEA) as appropriate.  + Create and implement site-specific Level III procedures (Energy Programs, Environmental Awareness, Carbon Footprint Management, Waste Management, Environmental Sampling, etc.)  + Complete daily monitoring and inspections as required within the above programs.
* Act as a first point of contact for employees regarding emergent issues, hazards, and questions.
* Lead various safety meetings and Emergency Response Team (ERT) initiatives.
* Organize and maintain all hard copy and electronic records, permits, audits, and written programs necessary for compliance with regulations and the EHSMS.
* Develop and coordinate education/training for compliance with the EPA and EHSMS expectations.
* Coordinate preventative maintenance and emergency repairs of all pollution control devices and their related systems to include in-house plant maintenance personnel and contracted outside maintenance.
* Serve as a liaison with local, state and federal compliance regulatory personnel, including officials on any necessary tours and/or inspections.
