The ideal candidate will be a hands on Welding Engineer who excels at data management and has significant technical welding knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:- Analyze and improve existing manufacturing, welding, and inspection processes to increase throughput, efficiency and product quality.
- Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, Theory of Constraints, and 5S principles.
- Drive the implementation of standard work practices and visual management tools to reduce waste and increase consistency.
- Partner with Quality and Sales to evaluate and qualify new and existing vendors
- Participate in internal CAPEX and process development projects to support operational goals.
- Provide technical guidance and act as a backup to other engineering roles as needed.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of all technical processes and updates.
Preferred Experience /
Education:- Bachelor’s Science in Engineering
- 3+ years of project management experience in a manufacturing setting
- Six Sigma certification, TOC, or formal lean manufacturing training is a plus
- ERP system (Syteline) proficiency and experience with job scheduling tools
- Experience managing CAPEX and internal process improvement initiatives.
- Serve as Project Manager for assigned internal and external projects, from estimating to execution and close-out.
- Create work orders within the ERP system with clear production and vendor instructions.
- Build and manage detailed project schedules and budgets aligned with customer requirements.
- Monitor project performance and provide timely updates to management and customers.
- Act as the primary point of contact between ETW and project stakeholders
- Coordinate with external vendors and suppliers to meet project goals and timelines.
