Our client, a leading aerospace and defense technology company, is seeking a Power Electronics Engineer to join its innovative Power & Data team.
This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting‑edge power conversion technologies supporting advanced space and defense applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, simulate, test, and troubleshoot power electronics circuits and systems.
- Develop power supplies and power converters ranging from 10W to 10kW+.Analyze and implement various power converter topologies.
- Perform control loop analysis and system optimization.
- Design thermal management solutions and address EMI/EMC requirements.
- Design and evaluate magnetic components including transformers and inductors.
- Interpret customer specifications and translate them into technical requirements.
- Lead small project teams and contribute to next‑generation power electronics solutions.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- M
inimum 3 years of power electronics design experience.Strong understanding of power converter topologies and circuit analysis. - Experience with control theory and feedback loop design.
- Hands‑on experience with simulation tools such as PSIM, MATLAB/Simulink, or similar.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with magnetic design and simulation tools such as ANSYS Maxwell.
- Exposure to resonant converters, wireless power transfer, wide‑bandgap semiconductors, AC/DC and DC/DC converters, motor drives, or bidirectional power systems.
