As a Metallurgical Engineer, you will be a part of a larger metallurgical laboratory team tasked with assuring the quality of mining and construction equipment and components. You will work in a hands‑on engineering role supporting industrial part production and processes. Your scope of responsibilities will include failure analysis of parts returned from customers as well as qualifying parts based off their metallurgical specifications & requirements.
Job Responsibilities- Identify parts and projects, including scope definition and requirements
- Manage materials and support material selection processes
- Interpret technical drawings and prints
- Develop and execute test plans
- Perform nondestructive and destructive evaluation and testing
- Document results, findings, and technical data
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders
- Collaborate with laboratory teams, internal quality engineers, external suppliers, and customers
- Bachelor of Science in Metallurgical or Materials Science Engineering AND 3+ years' of experience
